I'm the Sr. People & Talent Partner for roadsurfer (www.roadsurfer.com) North America — we're an RV and campervan rental company headquartered in Munich, with stations across the US (San Francisco, LA, Vegas, Seattle, Denver, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Miami, Dallas) and Vancouver and Calgary.
My work covers the full HRBP scope — everything from job architecture and compensation to employee relations, performance management, and staying on top of employment law across a pretty wide mix of US and Canadian jurisdictions. Multi-state (and multi-country) compliance is a big part of the job, so a lot of my day-to-day is figuring out how one policy needs to flex six different ways depending on where someone's actually working.
