What Does People Proud Mean to You?

Being People Proud isn’t a one-size-fits-all label.

But it’s also not some HR-approved slogan you can slap on a mug, mousepad, and hoodie and call culture!

If culture could be swagged into existence, trust me, we’d all be thriving by now. 😅

It’s personal, occasionally messy, and it looks a little different depending on who you are and how you lead.

What feels authentic in one workplace might fall flat in another, but that’s the beauty of it, there’s no cookie-cutter version!

So let’s flip the script: what does People Proud mean in YOUR world of work?

To figure that out, here are five questions worth thinking about:

  • “When people leave an interaction with me, how do I want them to feel?”

  • “Am I prioritizing compliance and process over people, and what does that say about my approach?”

  • “How do I show up for employees during their hardest moments?”

  • “Where do I have the most power to remove barriers for others?”

  • “If someone described the culture I helped create, would I be proud of it?”

Take a breath and reflect on this, because the answers here will show you not just what People Proud means to you, but how you can actually live it out every single day.

And remember, being People Proud isn’t about having every perfect answer locked and loaded.

It’s about staying curious, showing up with integrity, and remembering that people aren’t resources…

They’re the reason work matters at all!`
