Hey everyone, I’m Sisan!
I came here through Adam Weber’s LinkedIn recommendation, so I’m glad to be here.
I have a decade in HR, and I currently run The Olive Woman, a leadership and mentorship platform for African women.
LinkedIn has become, well, a lot. The signal-to-noise ratio is rough, and I’ve been looking for a space where the conversations actually go somewhere. Where people are thinking seriously about the nuance of this work, and not just posting thought leadership for the algorithm.
My focus right now is HR’s alignment to business decision-making. Specifically, around discussions on how HR moves from being a reactive function to an initiating one. Today’s business environment is one that sways from one crisis to the next, and I think the most urgent question isn’t how HR responds to instability. It’s how HR architects stability before the crisis lands.
That’s the work I’m most interested in. Strategic partnership that isn’t just a seat at the C-suite table. It has to be an anticipatory engagement that builds the table everyone else seats on.
I’m keen on building relationships because I believe that your network is an amplifier of your net-worth. So, if you’re thinking about HR as a leadership and business function that drives decisions rather than follows trends, I’d truly love to connect! 🙏🏾
