Philadelphia Chapter Meet-Up!

Happy Monday! Hope everyone made it through the long weekend and the surface-of-the-sun temperatures with their dignity mostly intact.

Last week, Brandon Linn, M.S. I hosted the very first ๐ˆ๐ง ๐†๐จ๐จ๐ ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐š๐ง๐ฒ ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐š๐๐ž๐ฅ๐ฉ๐ก๐ข๐š ๐‚๐ก๐š๐ฉ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ ๐ฆ๐ž๐ž๐ญ-๐ฎ๐ฉ, and I am pleased to report that a room full of HR professionals can, in fact, clock out and have a good time.

We swapped stories, compared notes, and bonded over the universal experiences of our field. The wins, the challenges, and yes, the occasional policy question that started with "so hypothetically." Good food. Good drinks. Conversation so good I almost forgot it was hot enough outside to slow-roast a brisket on the sidewalk. We stayed cool, stayed hydrated,
and generally proved that HR happy hours hit different.

If you missed this one, consider this your formal write-up. Do not let it happen again. ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Chapter Meetup: Philadelphia

๐Ÿป In Good Company Philadelphia Chapter Kickoff

Join us for the inaugural gathering of the In Good Company Philadelphia Chapter on July 1 at American Sardine Bar.

This casual networking event is an opportunity for HR and People leaders across the Philadelphia area to connect with peers, exchange ideas, and build meaningful relationships with others who are passionate about people-first work.

Whether you're navigating the challenges of leadership, exploring new approaches to employee experience, or simply looking to expand your local network, this event is designed to create space for thoughtful conversation and authentic connection.

Thereโ€™s no agenda, presentation, or panel โ€” just great people, good conversation, and the chance to help shape the future of the Philadelphia HR community together.

Woohoo! I literally just joined the community yesterday - and just in time for our regional kick off meeting! I'll be a bit late due to another meeting, but I look forward to meeting other people there!

Hello & Welcome Philadelphia HR fam! Your chapter just got a little more extra.

๐Ÿ‘‹ Philadelphia HR community, your chapter co-leader has entered the chat. Please hold your applause (just kidding โ€” applause is welcome).

I'm Camille Hyatt, and alongside my co-lead Brandon Linn, we just took the helm as your HiBob Philly Chapter Leaders, which means I am now officially one of your favorite HR people in the city. I will not be taking questions at this time. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

A little about me: I'm the Founder of RoomFluency, a people strategy consulting firm. I've spent my career doing the full HR contact sport; total rewards, M&A integrations, org design, C-suite advisory, and plenty of "how did this become my problem?" moments that I now call expertise. I also coach competitive cheerleading at the national level, which honestly? โ€” is just HR with better stunts and louder music.

I have strong opinions about job architecture, weak opinions about whether a hot dog is a sandwich, and zero patience for HR being treated like a support function instead of a strategic one.

Here's the vision:

A Philly chapter that actually does something. We're talking quarterly meetups and events โ€” real ones, where we get in a room (or on a Zoom), swap war stories, share what's actually working, and maybe vent a little. In a healthy, constructive way. Mostly.

This is a space for the full HR experience...the wins, the "what were they thinking," the policies you inherited that shall not be named, and the genuine questions you can't always ask out loud at work.

Seasoned CHRO? Welcome. Solo HR department of one, running on caffeine and sheer will? Especially welcome. Somewhere in between and just trying to figure it out? Pull up a chair.๐Ÿช‘

Philly is a city that doesn't fake it. Neither do I. So let's build something real. ๐Ÿ™๏ธ๐Ÿ””

Drop a comment โ€” introduce yourself! Where are you in your HR journey, and what do you want more of from this community? I'm reading every single one.

Let's get it. ๐Ÿ”ฅ
